BlackBerry PlayBook in Philippines this August

blackberry-playbookThe Canadian tablet, BlackBerry PlayBook will be launch here in Philippines on the first week of August, specifically on the 6th day of the month. BlackBerry PlayBook has conquered more market places all over the world that is why this has been a much awaited latest tablet launching here in our country.

BlackBerry PlayBook is a tablet that runs one of the most fundamental and industry-friendly operating system known to millions, the QNX operating system. BlackBerry PlayBook is said to conquer the consumer tablet ecosphere and is expected to follow BlackBerry handsets’ footsteps, that is to still acquire the full support of most corporate executives and BBM addicts globally.

BlackBerry PlayBook comes with an angular edges and dark style looks. The tablet’s chassis are in metal which are rubberized and edges are squared off. It only has a thickness of about 0.4 inches which is thinner  than that of an iPad2. It is considerably lighter having a weight of 0.9 pounds but still heavier than the Galaxy Tab which only weighs 0.83 pounds. BlackBerry PlayBook is designed with 1024 x 600 pixel,  high resolution 7 inches LCD Multi-touch display on maximum brightness.

BlackBerry PlayBook is packed with an ultra fast 1 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB RAM that lets you handle multiple tasks and even those most demanding tasks with an ease. BlackBerry PlayBook runs the new Blackberry Tablet OS which was based on QNX Neutrino OS where mission critical reliability and multitasking is an anticipation made for real. It comes with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB internal storage.

A collection of apps in BlackBerry App World were made available for BlackBerry PlayBook. Although for now BlackBerry App World has a lot more to enhance still to level up with Android Market and iTunes App store. But RIM is said to be working on a software that allows Android apps to run and be installed on BlackBerry PlayBook.

BlackBerry PlayBook supports WiFi only unlike other tablets which supports WiFi+3G it is because BlackBerry PlayBook has a built-in feature called BlackBerry Bridge. BlackBerry Bridge is a wireless Bluetooth connection between a BlackBerry phone  and a BlackBerry PlayBook  wherein you can connect to the internet using the BlackBerry phone’s 3G network.  This also generate access to emails, calendar and BB Messenger of the phone.

Other features of BlackBerry PlayBook includes WiFi sharing which allows you to experience a fast and easy sharing of your files and folders over local WiFi network and Internet Tethering wherein you can connect any phone to this  BlackBerry PlayBook through Bluetooth and then use the phone’s 3G in connecting to the internet.

BlackBerry PlayBook uses a 5300mAh built-in Li-Ion battery that can play about 6 hours of videos while simultaneously utilizing the web over WiFi on a single full charge.
