Adsense Referral Program to be Terminated

Adsense Referrals program has really come to its end.

Last January of this year, Google has formally announced that its Adsense Referral program will be retiring in all regions except in North America, Latin America, and Japan. After two weeks, it backtracked and again offered the program but with new conditions.

Last week, Google posted on its blog the announcement of the Adsense Referrals program soon to be totally terminated:

“We’re constantly looking for ways to improve AdSense by developing and supporting features which drive the best monetization results for our publishers. Sometimes, this requires retiring existing features so we can focus our efforts on the ones that will be most effective in the long term. For this reason, we will be retiring the AdSense Referrals program during the last week of August.”

Thus, all the publishers were advised to immediately remove the Adsense Referral codes from their sites because starting August of this year, Referral Ads will no longer appear on the display.

It’s very unfortunate for those publishers who wasn’t able to make use of this program, but at least they have earned from it.
