Last Wednesday, April 27, Apple confirmed the launching of iPad 2 here in Philippines today, April 29. It will be available at Apple Retail Stores at 9:00 A.M.

Apple has released its latest iPad with an entirely updated design that is now thinner by 33 percent and lighter by up to 15 percent than the original iPad. iPad 2 is just 0.34 inches thick and weighs 1.33 pounds.

iPad 2 still  sustain its 9.7 inch LED-backlit LCD screen and is now using the Apple’s new 1 Ghz dual-core A5 processor for an intensive fast performance and impressive graphics. iPad 2 now includes a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime® and Photo Booth® and a rear-facing camera that can capture a 720 pixels HD video bringing in for the first time the inventive FaceTime® video calling feature to iPad users.

If you are two choose between Tablet PC and Netbook, what do you prefer? Which is better? Each of us has different views on what we prefer more between a Tablet or a Netbook.

If we try to observe our society these days, Tablet PC has been the common portable computer in hand for most people around the world. Everywhere you go, anytime it is, Tablet PC has been a man’s companion. Does this mean more people preferred the Tablet PC than the Netbook?

Because of the touch-screen interface feature of the Tablet PC, managing tasks are made easy. And more importantly, the rich computing environment provided by iPad and Android-based devices has become the computing tool that has been integrated by most people into their mobile digital trends.

The world leader in hard disk drives and storage solutions, Seagate Technology, and the world leader in digital electronics and information technology, Samsung Electronics Corporation, announces its fusion for a better alignment of their current and future product development. The official agreement among two parties has the following elements:

• Samsung combining its hard disk drive (HDD) operations into Seagate
• Extending and enhancing the existing patent cross-license agreement between the companies
• A NAND flash memory supply agreement under which Samsung will provide Seagate with its market-leading semiconductor products for use in Seagate’s enterprise solid state drives (SSDs), solid state hybrid drives and other products
• A disk drive supply agreement under which Seagate will supply disk drives to Samsung for PCs, notebooks and consumer electronics
• Expanded cooperation between the companies to co-develop enterprise storage solutions

Samsung, the leader in Android-powered tablets in the market, is announcing its latest tablet computer which is said to be thinner and lighter than Apple’s iPad 2, this is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 measures only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 595 grams compared to that of the iPad2 which measures 8.8 mm thick and weighs 601 grams. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 uses the Android 3.0 operating system, commonly known as Honeycomb, which is said to operate at a “lightning fast” speed.
