The most controversial 2010 Philippine election was finally a success despite all the glitches that was encountered and doubts on election failure that never left until results from all parts of the country was gathered. The 2010 Philippine election has made another mark in our history as it was the first automated election and considered as the most peaceful election ever recorded. Although the result has not yet finalize but apparently for some provinces results are 90% up already thus giving a clearer hint of who has won the race.

Media people and even experts have doubted on this automated election. But when fast results from all over the country has been gathered in just a short period of time, they were astonished. Considering this is the first automated election in our country, glitches are not impossible to happen. Yet we should be thankful Comelec officials are doing their jobs to work on this little glitches and provide everything this election needs. Instead of criticizing on the very slow voting procedure, understanding why it has come into that situation would greatly help. We should not blame all those glitches to the Comelec officials, partly we voters has contributed a small part of those glitches.

The weather seems to go along with the condition of the 2010 first Presidential automated election – hotter and very intimidating. Yet this never give the Filipinos a reason to quit from doing their shares on this considered one of the most important event in our country. Beside from being the country’s first automated election, Filipinos are urging to cast their votes to show their support for the new Philippines in the coming years, making a more wiser choice this time. Despite what the reports have said that the voting procedures on most precincts are having major problems regarding the defective polls machine, disenfranchising, slow voting procedures, and many more, still Filipinos are unstoppable from making their way to cast their votes whatever is awaiting for them on their respective precincts.

It is few more hours to go and a new set of government officials will then be proclaim. A mixture of excitement and nerve-breaking feelings of who will definitely beat the odds. We still hope for the best for this 2010 first Philippine Presidential automated election.
